Hello Folks! My name is Zinnia. My pronouns are she/her. I honor the many sacred paths to parenthood and caring for families that blossom in all configurations. I support ALL families: queer, straight, trans, BIPOC, single, polyamorous, adoptive, and co-parents… I celebrate you! Welcome to my Pack and my Pride. As a postpartum and parenting companion, I’m here for you. I’m equipped to be your partner-in-connection and your ride-or-die believer. Ruth (she/her) describes herself as a very nurturing and caring person. She strives to help support families in their birth and postpartum journey, however it may look. Providing a judgement free space and evidence based information/care is most important to Ruth's practice. Her path into birthworld came after having her second daughter and a postpartum experience that was less than ideal; she realized her passion was to help make sure families could have a positive postpartum experience. Ruth took her postpartum doula training with DONA in 2019 is currently a student midwife. She also enjoys traveling all over the world to learn about birthwork and to support midwives and birthworkers abroad. In addition to postpartum overnight support, Ruth offers belly binding and closing of the bones ceremonies.
Overnight Rate: $55/ hour
Susan (she/her) is a birth and postpartum doula who provides prenatal and postnatal health education and preparation for families during pregnancy, labor, birth and in home during the first weeks of parenthood. She offers a broad repertoire of education and preparation strategies, including birth preferences planning, shared decision making, acupressure, guided relaxations, and homemade healing snacks. Susan is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and a prenatal and postnatal yoga instructor. Her continuity of doula care practice aims to enhance parents’ confidence, sense of agency and self-efficacy as they prepare physically and emotionally for childbirth and early parenthood.

As a mother of two, Nuri (she/her) knows firsthand how challenging the first few months of motherhood can be. A practicing doula since 2012, she offers support with kindness and compassion. She has particular experience with sensitive, fussy and/or preterm babies, making her an asset to the many families she has worked with. Nuri also has a background in cooking and loves providing healthy meals for her clients.

*$65/hour for multiples Justine is a trained Labor and Birth Doula, Childbirth Education Facilitator and a Certified Postpartum Doula. Growing up as an only child in a community based neighborhood, she was the “big sister” and babysitter to many of the neighborhood kids, worked as an educator in art camps and science museums as a young adult, and found birthwork as the natural next step in 2019. Justine is incredibly honored to support families as they navigate the changes that a new baby and postpartum brings. She offers nourishing postpartum meal preparation, infant feeding support, and education surrounding different infant cues, physiologic sleep and soothing techniques. Justine’s goal is to bring ease into this transition through providing individualized care to match each unique family’s needs, inspiring confidence in parents’ ability to care for their babies and offering a non-judgemental listening ear to honor joys and challenges.

Natalie (she/her) is a birth and postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, prenatal yoga instructor, and clinical mental health counseling student. She is passionate about helping parents welcome a new baby with ease, information, and confidence. She loves helping curious minds navigate life's challenges and opportunities, and her approach to work creates a calm, warm, and non-judgmental environment. Being a support for families has been an ongoing passion of hers and part of her story. She is the granddaughter of a loving male traditional midwife who was a father of 3 kids, active community member and family advocate. His legacy exists through Natalie today, inspiring her with benevolence, strength, and care for others. Natalie was a birth doula volunteer at San Francisco General Hospital and is enthusiastic about helping mothers recover from labor through her knowledge of health and nutrition, and her current training as a mental health therapist. Overnight Rate: $50/hr
Beth (she/her) has been a doula for 13 years and a step-mama for almost 11 years. She’s a Postpartum Doula, IBCLC (intl board certified lactation consultant), CLEC (cert. lactation counselor educator), Newborn Care Parenting and Breast/chest feeding Educator, Certified Birth Doula, and trained herbalist. Doula Beth combines heart-centered care with evidence-based practices. She uses gentle guidance to support the parent in finding their parenting rhythm with practical tools. This includes facilitating parent/newborn skin-to-skin, mindful breath work, postpartum nutrition and cooking, in-home lactation support and infant feeding education, infant and family sleep support, humor, and tummy time. Beth lives near Ocean Beach, SF with her spouse and bonus kid.

As a postpartum doula, Grace (she/her) aims to honor your experience as a new parent, to gently guide you in learning the unique needs & cues of your baby, to boost your confidence in supporting your new or expanding family, and to offer another set of hands so that you can care for yourself amidst the demands of postpartum life. Grace has been supporting pregnant & parenting people professionally since 2012. She's worn different hats, including working as an abortion counselor, organizing stigma intervention programs, and now providing birth & postpartum doula support, but the principle she carries through her career is that people deserve non-judgmental support throughout their reproductive journeys.
Daytime and Overnight Rate: $50/hour
Carmen is a DONA-certified birth doula and a postpartum doula. While working at San Francisco General Hospital as a Licensed Vocational Nurse she had the opportunity to become a Doula in 2010 and for her it has been the most rewarding work ever imaginable. She grew up in Barcelona, Spain and speaks fluent Spanish, as well as Catalan and French. Carmen feels strongly about wanting to support women, partners and their families in this process of welcoming babies to the world.

Michelle is a very loving and dedicated person who is passionate about supporting families during their postpartum time. Prior to starting her doula career in 2020, Michelle was a nanny for 18 years. In addition to daytime and overnight support, Michelle also offers baby massage and sleep training information. Great communication with families is a priority to Michelle and she strives to provide individualized care to each family based on the information they share.

Samara is a trained Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula who offers emotional, physical, and informational support to families as they are transitioning with their new life with their newborn. In doing this work for over 10 years, her primary focus is to support and empower each family to feel confident and fulfilled in their parenting journey. Samara is thrilled to be able to help families integrate new babies into their lives and instill confidence during such an intense time.
Overnight Rate: $60/hour
Jessica W (she/her) is a Certified Lactation Educator Counselor, Postpartum Doula, Infant Sleep Professional and Newborn Care Specialist. Jessica's personal support and sharing of knowledge will ease your postpartum transition. Jessica uses her innate talent for calming babies and supporting parents along with the skills learned from her various trainings to support the specific needs of your family. As she takes care of you and your family and gives helpful instruction and resources, you can focus your energy on healing, bonding with your baby and settling into your new role as a parent with confidence and love.
Daytime Rate: $60/hour
Esther has a background in home-birth midwifery and brings it to bear in her Doula care of parents during the childbearing/adoption and postpartum/new parenthood process. Forty years of education, training, experience and intention go into her work. Offering education, consultation, and support, including one-on-one sessions, groups for ongoing support, birth and postpartum doula care and placenta encapsulation, Esther is a doula dedicated to witnessing and support for families. She co-hosts the Fourth Trimester Podcast with Sarah Trott. She's a daughter of wonderful folks, a mother of two fabulous grownups and a grandmother (GramCracker) who's very proud of her wild and wooly family.

Olivia (she/her) has been working in Early Childhood Education and childcare for the last 10 years and is so grateful to have found her calling as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. As a postpartum doula, Olivia is passionate about helping new parents achieve a smooth and easeful transition into parenthood. In her experience, she's noticed that parents are given very little direction once their baby is born and it can feel overwhelming to so many. She is passionate about helping new parents navigate this period through offering newborn and infant care tips, lactation and feeding support, learning their baby’s cues and so much more! Olivia also offers placenta encapsulation and believes that this medicine is strongly beneficial for postpartum healing, mood, and energy levels.

Racquel is an energetic and empathetic, DONA trained birth and postpartum doula and a certified yoga instructor! She has always been a healer and caregiver at heart. Prior to becoming a doula and yoga instructor, she worked in healthcare for over 10 years, both in private practice and in a hospital (pediatric) setting. While doulas offer non-medical support, her past as a healthcare provider allows her to provide additional support and guidance in an often confusing system. Raquel has also been a nanny and has experience caring for twins. She uses an evidenced based birth approach and is able to blend into many different settings. Raquel is honored to provide support to parents during this exciting new journey.

Virtual Support: $40/hr Maya's approach to birth and postpartum care is to serve as a protector of the sacred space and to be a guide for the transitions that new parents go through on their parenthood journey. As a mother, doula, and maternal and infant health and wellbeing advocate, she combines her ancestral wisdom with modern, best practices to provide compassionate birth and postpartum care to all her clients. Maya's ultimate goal is helping families to become aware of their own strength and balance as they navigate their way through parenthood. In her initial discussions with parents, Maya will evaluate their unique individual needs, which may include breastfeeding support and education, newborn care, light household chores, preparation of nutritious snacks, finding helpful resources etc. Maya offers doula support in both English and Spanish! In addition to doula services Maya offers infant massage education. Please note Maya also goes by her given name, Dannhae, which you may find in formal documents and her emails.

As a seasoned nanny and babysitter, Liz (she/her) first came across the term "postpartum doula" only a few years ago. She was familiar with the work of midwives and birth doulas, but didn't realize there was a term (as well as a profession) associated with the special attention, education, and care that can (and should) be provided to all families during the fourth trimester (the days and weeks immediately following birth). Liz soon recognized her calling to this field. She is wholeheartedly committed to helping parents make an easy transition into parenthood, and is honored to make such meaningful contributions to her community.

As your doula, Daniella (they/them) is there to facilitate a healing environment that encourages you to slow down, savor the moments, and receive the nourishment you need to keep your cup full. They believe the postpartum process can be filled with joy and their intention is to bring balance and harmony to your experience -- to nourish you as you heal while also being an ally to your partner to feel fully included in their role. Daniella will be there to support the entire family and believes that the love and gratitude that is expressed between the parents will be the foundation for a loving container for your growing family. Daniella's overnight care allows you to get the rest you need to feel present and connected to yourself and baby. During the night, Daniella will tune into your baby's needs and intuitively explore ways to bring them ease and comfort. You can rest soundly knowing your baby will be nurtured with attentive care and patience.
Sliding Scale Daytime and Overnight Rate: $55-65/hr
Trained at Cornerstone as a Birth and Postpartum Doula, Vanessa (she/her) has been working with families since 2012. Currently Vanessa focuses on postpartum overnight support and loves being with babies at night. Vanessa is a profoundly good listener and has been called a baby whisperer! Vanessa loves helping babies settle into their comfort zone so they can sleep longer hours at night and parents can catch up on much-needed sleep. Vanessa's approach is heart-centered and intuitive; she likes to leave families with personalized pointers on soothing their baby. Vanessa aims to foster self-confidence and trust in the parent's intuition. She is happy to make Mamas a snack in the middle of the night as well as fold baby laundry.

Shayna is a mother of two children with a robust background in childcare. Shayna’s love for children led her to open her own childcare center prior to finding her love for doula work. Shayna brings a deep understanding of the challenges that come with being a mother to the support she provides new families in their final stages of pregnancy and into parenthood. Daytime and Overnight Rate: $65/hour
*multiples $70/hour Elena aka "Mama Elena" is a bilingual certified Doula whose mission is to provide expecting families with the most loving support that is needed before, during and after birth. Elena will listen to you and work as a ”compañera” to empower you throughout your journey. As a postpartum doula, Elena offers help with emotional nurturing support. She will listen to you with no judgment and provide you with the necessary resources and referrals. She will support you with mother and baby bonding, breastfeeding (if applies) and skin to skin. Elena will assist you with nutritious food options and some meal prep, with baby laundry, and she will encourage self-care. Elena also offers night time support, that is much needed - a little extra sleep goes a long way!

Heather is birth and postpartum doula who is passionate about whole family care and support during the transition of birth and early parenthood. With over 10 years of experiences working with parents and children, she strives to be a listening ear, strong support system, and caring companion through the ups and down of raising a family.
