Who We Are
Doulahood connects doulas with clients, and clients with doulas during the perinatal time. We work in a team environment to provide the best care to families - from easy access to back up doulas to working side by side other doulas to meet client support needs to peer to peer support to mentorship opportunities.
Doulahood is born out of the intention of building sustainable doula partnerships that include mentorship, professional growth, a living wage, continuity of care for new families during the postpartum time of life, and expanding doula access. We’re committed to serving all those wanting and needing doula support. Doulahood contributes 10% of our profits to socially and racially justice-aligned organizations both locally and globally such as Sisterweb, an SF based community doula program. Financial Commitment
Initial fee to join: $150, no annual fee to continue membership
All client payments go through Doulahood. Clients are charged for administrative fee at time of booking. Doulas are paid as independent contractors and will be given a 1099-MISC at the end of the year. |
Mentorship Opportunities!
Casual Mentorship
Quick questions and check ins via email of phone that require less than 30 mins of time are included in your Doulahood membership. We encourage you to reach out anytime!

Formal Mentorship
Mentor sessions can be used to ask questions, process any experience with clients, deepen knowledge of postpartum topics, discuss starting a new business etc.
$50 for 30 mins, $25 for each additional 30 mins. |
